Chocolate mill (Z·M colec.) The Gipuzkoa Royal Company of Caracas was founded during the 18th century. Its principal activity was based around cacao, which meant that chocolate ceased to be a luxury in the Basque Country and spread to all levels of society. Coffee did not become an integral part of Basque gastronomic culture until the 20th century.
